PC Microworks Quad Core Notebook Powerhouse

Personally, I do not see the attraction to the oversized desktop replacement style notebooks. Sure, they pack a punch, but you can get so much more performance from a desktop for a fraction of the cost. All the same, the Black Hawk XR5 Quad Core Super notebook is filling me with covetous thoughts right now. 2 x 512MB GeForce Go 8800GTX, a carbon fiber top, up to 4GB of RAM, up to three hard disks and a Core 2 Quad processor. You can go all the way up to Core 2 Extreme and in case you are wondering, it costs. It also weights a lot, 11 Lbs. with the battery pack. There are bigger desktop replacements, this is a comfortably sized 17-inches.
I played around with some configurations and created a fully optioned set up for a touch over $6000. The same thing in a desktop would be about half that. Not for me, but if I had that sort of cash to spend on a new PC, I might think about it. Shipping in December.
